Hey guys, for my b-day next month I am getting a 45-55 gal tank for my beardy. I will have left my current 20 gal tank. I want a new reptile so I can possibly breed and sell to some of my friends/family. Any suggestions? I have been looking at frogs/anoles/some more lizards. Btw i need a male and femal in the tank, so nothing that gets to big. Oh yeah and I wanted a chameleon very, very bad but I can't afford a 150-200 dollar tank and everything. Any help will be great. Thanks guys. Very Happy

Btw sorry about your daughter Owain. Crying or Very sad

To be perfectly honest with you i dont think you currently have the experience that is required for keeping and also breeding reptiles. It is a very long and hard process to just jump into unless you already have lots of experience with reptiles. Unfortunately just studying them isnt enough, you need to have had a lot of "hands on" experience.

Please dont think that i am trying to say that you should never try breeding, i just dont think you are ready and should do more research and wait until you are absolutely sure that you know what youre doing and are capable of caring for them and the babies that they produce as you cannot sell babies as soon as they are hatched.
Sorry if this all sounds negative but there are a lot of things to consider before you get involved with breeding.

If you are looking for something that would be comfortable in the smaller tank i would say to go for something like a leopard gecko as they dont grow very big and are relatively simple to care for.

unique means expensive and u have already mentioned u cannot afford 150-200 which aint really alot of cash when u consider propper equip etc, if u want something to go in youre 20 gallon have a gecko, they are nice and small, u shld not be looking for reps tht make u go wow unless oyu can afford all the correct gear/ catar there size when they get big, "cos they do n fast" food etc
as for the 20 gallon and two geckos speak to alfie as im not sure about the size viv/aqaurium they need

I'm thinking of crested gecko's but one thing, when I meant unique, I meant something not like everyone has. Like ball pythons/leopard geckos etc.

Thanks everybody I think I have made my decision! Very Happy
