I just said about dehydration mainly because behind his head (In the pic of your scared friend holding him) it "looks" a little bit like a boa I saw that was dehydrated.
Is there any way you could post some more pics of the mite/mites as i feel it would be helpfull to others.

there is a possibility he is heavly infested so id not rule it out and he could do with some food in him to bulk him out, hes been given a fluff tonight to check his appitite and took it with such force and speed i was not ready for lol the rat exploded and guts n blood every where big meal for him tomoz.. as for mites i cant but here is a real good site on them lil sh*t heads

Thanx for that frank im sure that link will be very helpfull I wish you had video'd the feeding that sounds marvelous GOREY but marvelous. Atleast hes feeding tho, my royal that had ticks wouldnt eat for months, even after getting rid of all ticks.
